, is a rare, vintage, perhaps one of a kind, handmade, glazed clay / stonewear advertising pitcher for Vienna Beef of Chicago, known for their hot dogs, sausage, deli meats, and condiments. I have been unable to find anything like it. I sent photos to Vienna Beef, and while they loved the photos and were intrigued, they were unable to speak to its origins, as they have not seen one either. Unknown if this is a rare, early / vintage advertising piece or a well made piece of fan art, but early original Vienna Beef advertising is quite desirable and the item is priced accordingly. No discernible / identifiable marks on the pitcher, which can hold up to 64 oz / 2 quarts. Measures just under 6" height, 7.5" across (left to right), about 10.25" lip to handle, 4.75" diameter at the base, weighs just under 3 lbs., and is glazed throughout. The coiling method used to make the pitcher is evident at various angles.
For conditions, please review photos closely using the magnifying tool or zoom in. Vintage Vienna Beef 64 oz handmade stone wear / clay pitcher. Small chip on handle, some staining inside that might wash away if cleaned gently, but overall in great shape, with no obvious signs of damage, cracks, repairs, etc. If you have questions or would like more photos, please ask!
