Description
Rochester Quadrajet 1979 Chevrolet 17059201 350 engine with manual trans or turbo 400..this is for the Man Pedal cars...no turbo 350/200r4/700r4 transmission kick down throttle arm ..real nice 800cfm (primary bump) core..condition is Remanufactured.
...idle, part throttle.. and full throttle modified for driveability and performance. This performance based overhaul is set very similar to Cliff Ruggles Edelbrock Quadrajet recipe.
...fully disassembled...sonic bath...all passages tested/opened with fine wire and shop air.
...primary throttleshaft bushing replaced with oversized self lubricating Oillite bronze replacements..eliminates any possible vacuum leaks/erratic idle due to wear...stainless steel screws and Locktite used to reassemble throttle shaft...all qjets need this at this point...very smooth throttle movement.
...factory airhorn APT sealed plug carefully removed and a external set screw installed to allow full access to adjust part throttle air /fuel mixture...make it richer/leaner without disassembling the carburator...very nice modification...APT piston modified so a small straight edge screw driver will fit on it.
...idle mixture screw holes are drilled larger to allow full adjustment of idle air/fuel mixture, just like the earlier versions...make it richer/leaner on your idle/driveability needs.
...secondary CFM limiter trimmed off to allow full 800 plus cfm..secondary air flaps "notched" to allow instant fuel spray under full throttle...secondary P.O.E holes enlarged for a richer fuel shot to eliminate lag/bog on full throttle...secondary fuel well restrictor holes enlarged for faster refill...secondary fuel emulsion channels enlarged to eliminate the “dog-leg” restriction.
...richened idle tubes and idle down channel restriction....75 primary jet. 52-M primary rod...DR secondary rod....eliminates the lean factory calibration.
...rebuilt with high quality kit including float, .130” needle/seat, HI-PO blue seal /garter spring accel pump, thicker gaskets, tested /functional rear dashpot...air lid and base gaskets, fuel filter and fitting.
...factory hot air choke properly converted to a new electric unit...supply the single terminal with a fused 12 volt wire...plug and play and it allows this carb to be used to eliminate a previous divorced or hot air troublesome application.
...painted with etching primer, Khaki tan and clear with 2k epoxy paint for appearance/fuel resistance.
