    Description:
After many years of collecting Japanese Nabeshima ware, I've come across many "Nabeshima style" plates with decoration inspired by scenes from woodblock prints by Hokusai and Ando Hiroshige.  This make me suspected that the official Nabeshima kiln may have actually produced ware with scenes from Hokusai.  I've been keeping all eyes on the market for them.
My effort paid off when I've recently acquired this small authentic Nabeshima plate
    .
The center of the plate is thick and heavy, thinning out at the rim give the plate a feel of sturdy yet elegance and delicate.  The three coin-tassles and comb-teeth decoration is very carefully painted.  The original double sheet (oban size) print has been compacted into a small 6.125" diameter plate full of great detail painting.
Hokusai "100 Views of Mt. Fuji" was first published in 1830s - 1840s and become very popular.  I think this Nabeshima plate was produced shortly after that during 1850s, the last decade of Edo period.  The print depicted in this plate is title "Fuji with Rafts in the Rushes (Rochû ikada no Fuji)", Vol 1 (Reference: https://harvardartmuseums.org/art/93480).
Reference: Met Museum Hokusai album "100 Views of Mount Fuji" (https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/78803).
