The round painted mark is a late Meiji Period variation of the Hayashi Kihyoe workshop seal (as later seen in paper labels on items from the Taisho and Showa periods). This pair of plates probably crafted by his son, Sadajiro Kihyoe (1876-1945), for the export market.

Both items in excellent condition with mild rubbing near the rim and to the back, and some signs of wear. No chips, no cracks, no restoration.
